Since we have all field and type information, it should be possible to relatively easily write a generic Views integration for displaying search results with Views.

This was a bit too much for the last week of the GSoC. I'll definitely keep this as one of the prime focuses for future development, just removing the GSoC tags.
Also, I now might first create a small module for simple search pages to demonstrate functionality.

OK, now that I finally got down to it, it was a lot easier than I had thought, even given Views' current instable state.
So, yes, the main task is done, though some features might and should still be added.
