I'm trying to use the lightbox2 lightframe functionality to display node content (e.g. <a href="node/xxx/lightbox2" rel="lightframe[][]">blah blah</a> see http://drupal.org/node/144488) and gallery_assist_lightboxes appears to be hijacking the requests and insisting that some non-existent image is being requested (error is "The requested image not exist or is not longer published" and is displayed just above the actual node content).

I guess this is possibly an issue with gallery_assist or lightbox2 but I figured I'd start here...

Anyone else having this issue?

After further research I'm finding that disabling gallery_assist altogether fixes the problem with HTML lightboxes (non-image lightboxes). I tried using a custom node type and that didn't help. It appears that every node served up by Drupal, regardless of content type, is somehow parsed by gallery_assist to see if there exists a reference to the term "lightbox" and if so gallery_assist injects its two cents...

Fixed for now... In "gallery_assist/gallery_assist.module", in function "gallery_assist_menu" I commented out the entry for "$items['node/%node/%']"

I'm having this same issue after installing Gallery Assist. I'll try out your solution and let you know if I discover anything new.

Same here. My first clue it was a gallery-assist problem was the spelling error in the message. I love gallery-assist function but it's a bear to configure eh? But I am also new, so perhaps that's why the permission settings seem endless in this module. But another story...

Well, great module overall however, and this is the first bug I've come across - I will try the fix above, but sounds scary.

please tell me what is the status of this issue now. By Jiggy Gaton I know it is new but I want to make so that all are satisfy.

A little more information is needed for the first.
In the GA administration you can send me the content of the fieldset "Settings overview". You find it by each assignment settings form at the bottom.

Sorry Juan, I've removed this feature and am looking for another solution. It seemed far too complex for the end user to create a gallery, with the biggest stumbling block being the need to create the post first before adding images. But good luck with ur project, it has potential!
