What i have in mind was to build my website the way i am use to, xhtml /css, then just add to the some elements the drupal tags, for log in box, search etc..
Is this possible at all ?

Thanks WorlFalls, unfortunatly this link isn t accessible from china, Drupal theme is a sensitive subject ~_- I tried using VPN it too slow i just managed to load the first second of the advertisment.. Would anyone have any usefull ressource ?
