Ajax Slideshow Does not work with Panels without Work around

Scenario
I installed the Ajax Slideshow, configured everything, and it worked.
In views I added a block display to the slideshow.

Everything functioned properly as expected.

Problem: Did not seem to display correctly when added to a Panel.

Did not display means: Instead of showing the slides as actual slides, it displayed
them as a list of titles such as this:

Slide Show Title 1
Slide Show Title 2
Slide Show Title 3

Symptom:
When adding your content to the different panels regions
In the Add Content Window.
Does Not Work: If you add the entry under "Views" and displays incorrectly as mentioned above. This is regardless if in the Select Display window you choose defaults or block
Does Not work: Also does not work if instead of the entry under "Views" you choose the entry under "Widgets". This entry will be available if like me, you added a block display to the slide show view.

Work Around:
It does work if you choose the entry under "Miscellaneous", but this will only be available if you added a block display mentioned above.

Thoughts:
Because the slide show module creates a view by default and this view does not have an additional block display, this means out the box, the module breaks with Panels. I have used many slide show modules, but this one is my favorite because of how easy it is to get up and running. I guess a solution would just be to add this to the documentation. Since there was no issue for this, I figured I would open one to help those who come across it too.
