Nice! Maybe a little off-topic (and without knowing too much off top of my head how permissions are handled): does this also work with Domain Access? It's pretty much the same problem - usually content is only shown for the domain(s) it has been assigned to, but sometimes you want to display a view of nodes from all domains, requiring you to bypass the node access restrictions. Since DA is built on node access this could already work, no?

This would in fact enable you to see content from ALL domains in a view so long as the installation is using the built in share tables setup. It completely by-passes the node access restrictions and thus it should work in your scenario provided that the tables are shared which I assume they probably are since you mentioned the DA module which uses shared tables. I have not used DA so I dont know for sure, but in theory, it should work. You would have to try it out with one of your views to see what it does :)
