User friendly binary on/off switch?

I have a content type that is visible to anonymous users but I want to be able to hide certain nodes. I know that this module can achieve this but im trying to make a really easy to user interface.

Can I make a binary 'switch' visible to authors so they can set their content as 'hidden'. I will set the roles that can see 'hidden' content.

I dont want to give authors full view/ edit/ delete privileges for all the different roles. I just want a 'switch'.
Can this be done?
