Content type AND Tags (Combining notification options into one)

Hi,

I am currently trying to find my way through the tons of options of the 4.x release. So far I like it a lot.

Please excuse me if I haven't understood the module corectly yet. But as far as I can see a user can - amongst others - subscribe to a content type (good) and to taxonomy terms (good). It would be perfect though if one could cobine the two:

Let's say you have a content type "events" and a vocabulary "location" that hold different cities as terms. A user would like to be notified about events - but only in certain cities.

So allowing the user to combine a content type with terms that he himself choses, would achieve exactly this.

I know you already can do something similar. But with content type and tags being seperetaed on a user's profile page, he won't be able to understand how to combine those effectively since there is no connection apparent to him.

Would something like this be in the scope of the module?
