when using the variables like %title %url %description.

Only fields with variables are cleared. Fields left empty in the nodeformtemplate setup work fine in edit and keep their content.

This is true for all node types

First issue indeed fixed, but unfortunately the fix introduces a new bug.

When *creating* a node the author field is now cleared. (The field is not cleared when editing)

I just downloaded & installed the latest, and it still clears the author field, even if I'm not using nodeformpopup, but this only occurs when nodeformtemplate is activated.

the fix works - you just have to wait ( uo to 24 hours ) for the new tarball including the changes to be created. Try to download again tomorrow. Then it should work.
