This function was drupalfied in 6.x, but now adds a stylesheet, which it never did in 5.x. It is based on theme_chessboard_formatter_chessboard_default(). Surely, theme_chessboard() is a better candidate.

Now passing #theme and #weight as well which is consistent with what we pass from the filter callback.
