Using CCK 6.x-2.7 and Imagefield 6.x-2.7
In my CCK node type, when I
Add -> New Field -> Select a Field Type
I do not see an option for an "Image" field type.
Is there some way that I must configure or otherwise enable the image CCK field type?

ImageField changed the way it worked way back in the 3.0 beta versions. You just have to select type "File" first, then use the "Image" widget type.
