When creating a subfolder it states that the folder has been created (And reviewing the directory structure indicates it has) however when clicking on the newly created directory it is coming up with "Directory dir/subdir is not accessible" followed by "Unable to get a working directory for the file browser".
The subfolders have been created with 775 permissions which is different to the 777 recommended for IMCE file directory.
If I manually chmod the folder to 777 the folder is not listed in IMCE.

Update:

Even if not changing the folder permissions, upon refreshing the page it no longer displays the created folders despite them existing in the directory structure.

I had the same error, but then after some search, I found in the IMCE profile, that the "Including subdirectories" checkbox was off. I turned it on, and it works like a charm now.
Hope it can help, sorry for my english...
