Also, don't be afraid to tinker around after you get it installed before delving into a book. Navigate around to familiarize yourself with the look and feel.

Drupal.org is the ultimate source to learn drupal.
Feel free to ask any doubts and don't forget to search before you ask a doubt.
Get yourself a copy of drupal,install it on your local computer ( instructions at http://drupal.org/node/251019 ).
And start playing with it.
