How can I create new dictionay like www.mysite.com/dictionary1/index.html
or simply www.mysite.com/dictionary1/index
or pages like www.mysite.com/newpage or www.mysite.com/newpage.html

plz help me..

adminster -> settings -> clean urls

set up clean urls. read the paragraph under the setting, and test your servers ability to use this function. if the server test passes, then enable clean urls.

I have allready done this.But i dont know how to create new dictionary like www.mysite.com/music/top10

Whenever I create any new page ..the page link apperas this www.mysite.com/node/5
but I want to create link like www.mysite.com/music/top10

Well, there are two ways to do this.

The hard way is to manually set the path of each node as you create them to what you want (i.e. music/top10). This requires the path module to be activated (administer->modules). You set your path as you're creating the node, it's in the URL path settings section, near the bottom.

The easy way is to use the pathauto module. With it installed, you can set an url pattern for every entry on your site. Be sure to download the correct version of pathauto for your drupal installation.

Well I have found that pathauto module is better.But I am lilltle confused with pathauto settings.There are lots of setting in this..and I am little confused.
plz give me the link of pathauto module tutorial.
