Hello,
During installation I have received this message "An HTTP error 500 occurred. http://www.mysite.com/install.php?locale=&profile=openscholar&id=2&op=do" and when click on the link I have a blank page. I would be grateful if anyone can help.

It looks like a server configuration problem. Are you able to install Drupal alone (the first selection in the list of install profiles) ?

Do you have any errors in your php error log?

This error went away after I edited my php.ini file as detailed here:

*note that some hosts will NOT allow you to edit the php.ini file as it will effect the whole server and all users.
However, there are some great Drupal friendly hosts that have configured their servers to allow you to put a custom php.ini file in your Drupal root directory.
