Rotate images automatically

Would like to suggest a rotate feature for the slideshow module. Optionally have a hyperlink to each image within the slideshow sequence to 'jump' to it (ex. 3 slides total-have numbers |1|2|3| to jump to that image). Something simple like a number box between the image and the description area.

example would be to use the slideshow module to create scrolling headlines. something like this.

Obviously, the attached images would have to be created with the text, etc. in them. It would also have to include a hyperlink of the users choice for each image attached. This would be the link to the actual story 'node' within drupal.
