Hoping someone knows how to accomplish this with Views...

- I have a view set up to display a views block that has the last 5 blog teasers from authenticated users
- There are two filters in my view:

Role: Author Role IS ONE OF authenticated user
Node: Type IS ONE OF blog entry

Now, theoretically, this should display the last 5 blog entries from authenticated users, right? Well, it doesn't on my site. Instead, I get the empty placeholder text. I am positive I have authenticated users that have posted blog entries.

The only way I can get this to work as intended is to create a new access role that is a clone of the authenticated users role. I called it "standard". The blog entries then display as intended if I set the view's filter up so that it is:
Role: Author Role IS ONE OF standard

Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide some insight on something I may be missing... due to an NDA I cannot share a link.
I should not have to create a new role and move all authenticated users into this role to accomplish what I'm trying to do, right?
