Description

If I understand correctly this is an old problem so I didn't post it as a bug report.

My problem is that I end up on a topic's first page when going to a comment that is located beyond the first page.
I.e if I want to go to /?q=node/277#comment-5839 I see the proper URL in the browser but what I get displayed is /?q=node/277.
I've been told that this is a problem with the core's paging system but I was unable to find a fix for it.
Mostly because I don't know what to look for.. still a Drupal beginner.

So what should I do? It is very annoying and I don't want my site members to be frustratet with this bug.

Thanks

Changing priority since I am getting too many complaints.

Just because it is critical to you does not make it critical for the Drupal project.

True, but I deemed the issue critical for the community. I've seen the problem on other drupal boards and it is very annoying since you not only don't end up where you were supposed to, you also no longer see what comments are new when you get to the last page.
A critical support issue in my book since it aggitates the users. Please pardon any misunderstandings, english is my third language.
