Set the page to offline mode
I disabled all modules running
Made a copy of the profile, settings.php, robots, themes, sites folder
Deleted old files/directories
Uploaded the new files from tar.gz
Cleared Cache from performance
Ran update on Modules page
Ran Cron afterwords from status reports page
- Reports Status says 6.17 still
- Checked system.module from module directory and it says 6.18
Can anyone let me know how they went about fixing this?

Check Version #s
Check the version #s of all your core modules. You may have just missed one or more. I just did this the other day updating my Ubercart.

I backed up the whole site to
I backed up the whole site to my desktop on my mac.
Deleted everything
Uploaded 6.19
Reuploaded profiles, robots, sites
Upon visiting the site it said to create a database: what i did was point it towards the old one
Now all i get is White Page of Death with nothing to go by... What can i do?
For reference sakes what if i wanted to move the nodes I've already made for forum area to a new 6.19 install. Also I had users who have already signed up that I also want to transfer over. Whats the procedure for that? What row or section of the table should i be looking at and how would i extract that information and load it into a fresh install?
Have you got some additional folders in the wrong place?

This sounds like the same problem I (and a few others) have come across.

I found that as well and
I found that as well and followed it but all the suggestions didn't work and I didn't have a duplicate folder hiding any where.
