In addition to being able to set the breadcrumbs to a specific menu item
is it possible to have an option to set it to the active menu trail, so it is more dynamic?

Are you saying it should set the current trail _and_ include the current node title? That'd rock.

Hi,

Apparently there is a module on D7 to do this here :
Context Breadcrumb Current Page

After analysis of it, i made a very small patch to add the node title to the breadcrumb reaction for D6.
That's my two cents.
