It seems a lot of people save A> an image field and B> a link field when creating nodes.

It would be real nice to be able to just link an image to a link field.

I understand you can do this with the LinkImageField module, however that doesn't really work with the Links module afaik, meaning users would have to save the URL they want to save twice, once to the image, and once to the Link field.

Maybe a token could be keyed in for the Link URL and added as an ImageCache setting?

Just a thought, these two modules should work together in some way to make linking images a lot easier than it is now.

It's been four years since this bug, and no one's touched it. If you need to you can re-open this ticket, but I suspect you don't need this fixed anymore.
