Are there any plans on doing the context module integration (drupal.org/projects/context)
It seems that it is the best fit to choose the ad "context" and adds much more than just term and path.

If not, I might take a plunge and try doing it.

I'm have just begun development on CASAA 2 which will integrate with CTOOLS, Domain Access, and a few other modules. I will take the context module into consideration as well.

the coming versions of casaa for both d6 and d7 will integrate with context. w00t!
