I run the current version of Drupal 6. Anonymous users cannot post.

When a user posts a comment, the comment is rejected by the Spam module, the user enters a feedback message, and the admin clicks on publish, the admin always sees these two messages:

Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator.

Content published.

However, the content is never published. It simply disappears for good. There seems to be no way to get it back. There is not even a way to find out to which topic the comment was originally intended to be posted.

I believe, but cannot tell for sure, that comments that are rejected by the Spam module, but do not get a feedback message, similarly disappear.

Finding the same error. Have looking in the databases and cannot find the comment to save it before it goes to oblivion. Is there a way to disable the feedback feature so that comments dont disappear?

I have made a mistake when installing this module. The first thing one has to do is check whether the module is alive or dead. By dead I mean having old open issues and not being maintained.

Avoid these modules like the plague. If you don't, you are likely to find the worst conceivable things, and the worst, in my book, is the destruction of data.
