Drupal Drop In - London (October 2006)

Drupal Drop In for October will be moved forward by a day, and location for this month will be the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo 2006.

We'll be doing various demonstrations in the afternoon, and then there'll be a social get together at a nearby pub - check this page next week for pub location if you want to meet us after the show.

Hi,

There is an OK pub behind the venue, called the Firkin. It is not that large however.
In fact a number of them fit into this category.
How many folk do we think are going to be around?
Beer always expensive.

My projector is not currently working, and it would be very handy to have one for Linuxworld.
Is there anyone good out there who could lend us one for wed and thursday ?

Could we decide on a pub for certain or have some contact number so we can meet afterwards. I've been looking forward to meeting some other Drupal enthusiasts for ages now, and I will come along as long as I know where everyones going to be!

I have booked the function room at The Albion for Thursday evening. The pub is just outside Olympia 2, well, about 2 min up the road away from the station.

The show finishes at 4 pm on Thursday, so we will probably be getting an early start!

The Drupal stand at LlinuxWorld London was a great success this year, thanks to everyone who came and helped.

Special thanks to Yuko, who managed to stop almost everyone who came past the stand, put a flyer into their hands, and got them talking to us.

In total we gave out about 800 handouts, and we talked to the majority of the people that took them.

It was nice to meet so many new Drupal developers, to find out what people are using Drupal for, and to introduce people who have never heard of Drupal to the project and get them enthusiastic about it.
