Hi all,
Been fighting with this for hours now and I just give up. I've only done this entire process in the exact same way a dozen times in the same manner (local WAMP server to Dreamhost VPS) and I've yet to have an issue. All of a sudden though, things are broken terribly!
I read this thread here http://drupal.org/node/816582 and followed all instructions to no avail...
One thing though:
For the first time I made a subdomain (project.website.com) and uploaded to it to maintain my relative links in a nicer fashion. Think this could be an issue? I've even went as far to grant user admin permissions to everyone, changed the admin password, uploaded the database and still nothing.
Any ideas??

Few things to check ..
Hey buddy, a few things you can check:
.htaccess file, this can be the source of your problem, also check your $base_url variable in settings.php.
I'm pretty sure if you configure .htaccess and $base_url properly your problem will be solved.
Good-luck!
Nope unfortunately neither of
Nope unfortunately neither of those things work as I tried them already.
It's worth nothing that I deleted the subdomain, left the database as-is and moved the files to a folder on the original domain the voila.
I resorted to the Pathologic module to get around the key issue but it seems that moving from a normal site to one hosted on a subdomain really breaks things. I cleared all my sessions, caches and covered pretty much every base...
