Hi,
Thanks for the wonderful player and the clear instructions. I have a problem though, the loading circle keeps rotating and rotating, all throughout the playback of videos.
I encountered this in the beta4 version, after reading this post: http://drupal.org/node/797460 I upgraded to the latest dev release but the problem persists. I re-saved my preset and tried all the different player themes. I ran update.php and flushed caches too.
Has anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance!

wozuberlin commentedI have the same problem. Let's put it this way, first I had the problem that the player just played the first three songs (shuffle mode), and if you pressed on the next button, nothing happened. So I decided to rebuild everything. But unfortunately I made it even wores. The circle keeps rotating... but no Video and no Audio.... but a cool looking circle that is getting me dizzy and I can´t figure out what is causing this. I made a new Preset, a new View, different theme but it didn´t work. so now i guess i need HELP...thx
Comment #2
travist commentedWere you uploading the songs to the same file field? That would cause the next button to not work.
Alfthecat, have you tried BETA3? There is a huge difference between BETA3 and BETA4 and I am curious if I did something recently to break it.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Travis.

yannickooDid you clear your drupal/browser Cache?
alfthecat commentedHi Travis,
No I haven't tried beta3. I will try it asap, I'll uninstall the dev completely. I'll be back with the result!

mblakeney commentedI am experiencing a similar issue. I can see the media player in the preset administrator. Here I can play local video files but 3rd parties won't play. When I create a view firebug throws this error:
jQuery("#mediafront_mediaplayer").mediaplayer is not a function
[Break on this error] jQuery(document).ready(function() {var...ront_mediaplayer_loading").hide();});
It's also interesting to note that I do not have thumbnails either.
I am running mediafront 6.x-1.x-dev in Firefox on a mac. I received the same error when I was running the Beta 4.

travist commentedMike,
Can you disable your JavaScript performance caching so that I can take a further look?
Thanks,
Travis
Comment #7
mblakeney commentedTravis,
I have disabled all caching and the cache is cleared. Let me know if there is any other way I can help you help us.
Thanks,
Mike B.
yannickooIn my case it worked as I cleared my cache.

Good to see ABC is developing a Drupal site. I created coloradobaptists.org and am know Brenda C from my college days. If there is help you need with the site, feel free to ask.

alfthecat commentedHi everyone,
I finally figured it out, I tried beta3 as well (sorry for the long wait for this reply) but I managed to fix the issue by setting the Flash window mode to none instead of transparent. So I guess that was the culprit, regardless of beta3 or 4.
See if this works for you by choosing [Presentation settings - Flash window mode - none] in your preset settings.
@travist, I unfortunately cannot make patches but I hope this info is of use.
pkcho commentedI tried this and it didn't work for me. I'm using the beta 4
On a related note, I did see this Flash window mode setting, but apparently, no matter which setting I choose, it's not allowing menus to display over the video.

mblakeney commentedBobby,
Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner. I had to put the MediaFront function on the back-burner in order to get other items going with the site. I'm still struggling to figure out why this thing is giving me troubles.

alfthecat commentedI just implemented MediaFront on another website, and the issue is surfacing there too.
dlaidig commentedI seem to only have an issue with the preloader in Chrome. Both Firefox and IE8 seem to work ok. In Chrome, the preloader will rotate forever. I have to hit the play button twice and then it is gone and the video plays. But every time the page is reloaded, i have to do that again. Any suggestions?
alfthecat commentedHi @travist,
What are your thoughts on this one at the moment? Cheers!
sp3boy commentedMy experience is similar to comment 14: an MP4 uploaded as a filefield will autostart in Firefox and Opera (on OS-X BTW) but not Chrome - you have to click the transport bar play button twice before it plays. Playlist is disabled on that preset.
However an FLV will autostart in Chrome.
I just upgraded to -dev (13 November) so I wouldn't say this is just a beta4 problem either.
[Edit] Same issue with Chrome on XP. IE6, 7 & 8 plays OK.
sp3boy commentedMore observations including something rather obvious that I should have realised before. As I see it:
When I copied the tag and its attributes from the page markup generated by Drupal for Chrome into a standalone HTML file, Chrome was able to autostart and play it fine, so I guess it's something to do with the javascript activation of the video element.
Which everyone else probably knew already.
Just FYI then...
travist commentedJust made an update. Please test the latest DEV version tomorrow and let me know if this issue goes away.
Thanks,
Travis.

sp3boy commentedHi Travis, many thanks for that. It's looking good - Chrome autostarts as does Safari and Firefox.
Prior to the latest -dev build I'd started noticing a problem with delayed start of actual playback having clicked the play button. That doesn't appear to happen any more which is also good.
Some corroboration by other folks is probably a good idea :)

alfthecat commentedI just updated to the latest Dev but the problem did not go away. Flushed chaches and updated db off course, but I still get the pre-loader.
Does anyone else experience this too?
alfthecat commentedSorry, needed to edit at least one node containing video.... closing this again :)
