Should we follow install.txt, or the handbook pages at http://drupal.org/node/499770 (aka, which is kept more up-to-date, or are they complementary)?

Also, chance of enabling the option to download the screencasts on screencasts.com?

The handbook pages are not 100% up-to-date at this time, because we are in a constantly changing development phrase, and we do not always update the documentation. Though the essence of the documentation is correct. In the current development version (the following release, which will be the first beta release as well) we changed almost all menu path, and put xc settings under admin/xc. We also created a profile, which set up everything correctly. You can available it at http://drupal.org/project/xc_install. Create a new directory called xc under your Drupal installation's profiles directory, download the xc.profile file from http://drupalcode.org/viewvc/drupal/contributions/profiles/xc_installati..., and copy this file to there. That profile install Drupal Toolkit as we use it in the project.

I started to write a document, which contain a checklist for the successfull installation. It will be part of the documentation:

I will ask the team leader the about status of screencast and let you know the answer.
