If anyone else out there is trying this module and not seeing results with existing content, it appears to work with new content only - e.g. things that were created /after/ the module is installed.
SO - just an FYI on that potential stumbling block.

Have you tried to Edit and Save the node again, see if it activates auto expire?

Resaving did not work, appears to require a new node number, just a guess.

I used a Clone module, worked well enough, I think. Had to be done one by one, could not find a way to do it in bulk.
