Get error "third-party bad-behavior files are not installed"

CodeCutter - October 16, 2006 - 15:14
Project:Bad Behavior
Version:4.7.x-1.x-dev
Component:Code
Category:bug report
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:active
Description

I have followed the instructions exactly as per Readme.txt
1. Downloaded BadBehavior 1.2.1
2. Copied badbehavior.module into the modules/bad-behavior/ directory.
3. Enabled the module as usual from the Drupal admin>>modules page.

I get following error messages (several) in Administer => Logs and this is filling my logs entries.
Type: badbehavior
Message: The third-party bad-behavior files are not installed. Please consult badbehavior/README.txt for details.
Severity: error

Administer => Logs => Bad behavior does show everything okay.

I think that Bad behavior is working okay, except the fact that it is generating tons of error messages in the log. How do I fix this?

Also tried badbehavior 1.2.2 with same results.

Thanks in advance.

I have also gotten these errors and no matter what I did I could not resolve the issue. I uninstalled the module, but I would like to use something like this to stop spambots. If possible could someone give better or more detailed installation instructions than are given in the Readme.txt because it seems that apparently many people got this module to work. I doubt they did going by the readme.txt because I followed it to the T several times to no avail.

Thanks.

I had the same problem, but fixed it by moving the third-party files one directory back. The path mentioned in the readme is wrong.
