Importing data into CCK

Many people want to know how to get Flexinode or other external data into CCK. The plan for CCK is to provide an upgrade path for Flexinode, but there is not yet any automated way to do it. In the meantime, people are trying to get this working in various ways. I thought I'd start a page here with links to various methods that are being used where anyone who has tried them can comment on how well they work, or add new methods to the list. I have no idea how well any of the following ideas work, I am hoping the community will chime in to help everyone know which ones might be the most viable!
