Missing something simple: how to add username to top of mass contact message?

This seems quite simple to me and I can't believe that no-one else has been searching for it.

I am sending a mass email to all my users using the Mass Contact module, but I can't seem to specify the [account: username] in the email.

All I want is for the email to have the name of the user at the top of the email.

I must be missing something really simple.
