This list is going to continue to grow on and on... and at some point be an unmanageable list and as noted in http://drupal.org/node/896940 in looking for a section for distribution information, I'm not sure if Understanding Drupal > Third Party Resources is going to be the best place to store that much information, either. Thoughts?

I would treat them the same as contributed modules and themes. On the homepage there is that download box with links to modules, themes and translations. I would add two categories there: contributed features (see features module, perhaps only kit-compliant features) and distributions.

I hope this makes sense?
