I'm *really* missing the body background image from the fixed-width pages. It gives the page much more definition and clarity in my opinion. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

zirafa commentedThis is one of those things that we can go back and forth on forever. The reason I'm so strongly against putting a background in is because the original design seen here has really minimal background and borders:

It's all about using space to create boundaries without imposing physical lines. We could go and try to define these regions more concretely but I think it is best to trust the designer's choice in this regard.
