"There is no data in this table."

Except that there is.

I used the Schema settings to select the non-default database, then "adopted" the tables in that database. The tables show in the Content Management area, and are selectable in Views (I also set up a join between two of the tables). But no data shows up, either in Views or even just when I select one of the adopted tables in Content Management.

Is this related to the database prefix issue (http://drupal.org/node/894074)? My default and non-default databases do both use the same prefix.
