Here's what i'm looking for and don't know what it's called. I'm looking for a way to have a fixed top colum and have all of my postings to go underneath the fixed top colum. Some examples of what i'm talking about is at lostremote.com and twit.tv. Any help?

you have a few options.

you can set up a region as seen here : http://nicklewis.org/node/846
or you could activate and add your templates mission statement

I have it set up correctly and now I need to figure out how to add content to that block from the 'create content' from the main navagation.
