Fluid layout problem with Google Chrome Frame installer using overlay method.

I've been trying to use Google's Chrome Frame via this module http://drupal.org/project/chrome_frame . The lateset version incorporates the overlay method of the chrome frame installer. This method works fine with Zen and a fixed width layout. When I change to a fluid layout the overlay method does not work as described and instead creates what looks like a small iframe at the top of the page pushing the rest of the site down. I noticed the same problem trying to use a fluid layout in 6.x-1 as well.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
