Hello again,
I would like to request a feature where the content being removed fades out from the view, and the content to its right (or below it, depending on the views style) shifts slowly to replace where the removed content use to be.
This would be really cool and add a level of 'WOW' to users of a site.
Thank you

cpliakas commentedHi yaz085.
This sounds like a cool widget. The way the module is designed, it actually has an API so developers can easily add custom ones. I plan on documenting the APIs soon. The module is still in beta so I am open to new widgets being added to core, and I would love to get some contributions in this area as well. I will take a crack at this one when I have some free time to play with the display stuff.
Thanks for the post,
Chris

YK85 commentedHi Chris,
The widgets look to be radios at the moment.
It would be nice to have it checkbox so that multiple can be selected.
Is this something possible or would it make more sense for it to remain radios and have all actions in one widget?
1) Would it be like the below for Timed Delay + Fade and Slide?
[x] Timed Delay
[_] Fade
[x] Fade and Slide
[_] No widget
[_] Throbber image
2) Or would it be like this?
(_) Timed Delay
(o) Timed Delay, Fade and Slide
(_) No widget
(_) Throbber image
I would really like to have it so that After x seconds the flagged content will Fade out and the contents to its right will Slide into it's places.
Thank you!
P.S. I changed the title from 'shift' to 'slide'

cpliakas commentedHi yaz085.
Really cool suggestion. I never even thought of mixing and matching widgets like that. Right now I am leaning towards #2, because I am not sure how to handle possible conflicts or order of the widget rendering. Also, the widget code is really small, so it would be easy enough to define a new widget and combine them such as the "Timed Delay, Fade and Slide" you mentioned. However, would definitely be something cool to explore in the next major API version of the module after the current functionality stabilizes and gets more use. Opened up a task at #905652: Allow for multiple display widgets to be used simultaneously flagged for the next major API release.
Thanks,
Chris
