Would it be possible to add push notifications for new content / new comments?

Well, even though I'm not an expert on the topic, I don't think this can be done, because Push notifications rely on a single certificate per provider. And Apple means by provider, would be each of your websites guys. So it doesn't seem that this could be handle.

But maybe, I need to look deeper on what is possible to do with multi-tasking services. You know checking on the background for new content/comment.

I,ve implemented content and Command push Notification using the Message and Notification Module together with the iPhone and Drupal App./ Module prowl. Set-up via Trigger and Action module in Drupal. Is simple and works perfectly.
