I think I understand the concept behind Related Terms, as found in the Voc setup area.

But I can't seem to find a good example of this being used or even a good defination of this feature.

It appears it would be very useful in some cases, for extra cross referencing power. The more ways to find content or related content..... the better.

The link on the Voc setup page, links out to a general tax def.

Does anyone have a good and "live" working example of Related Terms?

I was just thinking, maybe you will agree ... and perhaps maybe not. :-)

But following the logic of Taxonomy, as it applies and mirrors a library indexing system, couldn't the use of Related Terms be used in core, that if it was enabled --- it would add a:

See also ... [Related Terms] --- to the bottom of nodes automatically?

gosh, we must have this somewhere and I just haven't figured out a way to find or use it yet.

please don't laugh, I really haven't found this yet.

I do have an idea that I have pndering though and I'm still not sure I am looking at this topic correctly.

But wouldn't the Setting of Related Terms be more useful in defining the relationship at the Node content level, verses definding it at the per Term level (term create level). It would be good to enable it at the Term level, if you wanted to use it or not.

But I think the true cross indexing power would be to set the related term (words) at the Node level, as it could and would apply to the actaul content being published?

Honestly speaking, I have the same problem now :)
I see related terms and synonyms but I've never seen any module before which used them for anything... So, I'm slightly confused how to use them...

I only saw several API functions inside taxonomy.module which can get related terms or similar....
