Is this module (6.x) ready to be used in production? I do see a lot of bugs that still need to be fixed...

Don't let you blind from a version number a module has got. When I have tested a "stable" 6.x release of decisions, I found so many bugs that I tried the dev version of Advanced Poll. And the results were much better for me.
