TinyMCE and IE8: Blows up when HTML window is opened

Drupal 6.16
TinyMCE 6.x.1.1
Windows XP and Win7

TinyMCE works well in FF
In IE8, it blows up when accessing the HTML window

Errors received include:

Turnoff popup window blocking
tinymceeditor manager is null or not an object

Any thought or similar experiences?

You have have more than just TinyMCE to use.

FBOW, the client likes and has specified TinyMCE. Adding a front module has been nixed by client

The issue that confronts us is how to get to work in MSIE 8 in Win & environment.
