Thanks for the nice module, Flag Content, appreciated the hard work!
However, it would be an useful feature, if admin could choose if users need to provide with a reason why they feel the content in question needs some attention. This serves also an other purpose... quite often people seem to click the reporting link by accident or just wanted to take a look what's that... but immediately when clicked, the report has already gone to the admin.
Sorry I can't help with the coding with my lacking technical skills, but just an idea and 2 cents...
Keep up the Great Work, All the best

hazexp commentedThis is a good idea. What would also be nice is to have a user comment on what's wrong instead of a selection.
Either a selection or a comment or even both would be a great addition to this already great module.

Rosamunda commentedAny update in this subject? It would make this excellent module just perfect!!!!!

kbahey commentedWe are in discussions with a sponsor for this feature.
Nothing firm yet, but if this materializes, the feature should be available in a few weeks.

Rosamunda commentedThat´s excellent news!!!

buddaI was just wondering about this very feature. Nice to see it's already being requested multiple times!

Rosamunda commentedAny (good) news about this project?
buddaHow is it planned to be implemented? A HTML form select menu with all the choices in, and a submit button?
Then some javascript could jazz it up to look like that of digg.com etc. if needed, but degrades nicely still?
Or is there a different way planned?

Rosamunda commentedare there any news about this?
I Hope so!
:-)

kbahey commentedNot yet.
Anyone willing to co-sponsor the work, please contact me.

kbahey commentedChanging the description to better reflect what I want this feature to do.
Ideally, after clicking on "flag this", a form will be displayed with list of reasons to choose from, and a textarea to describe why this item is being flagged.
The list should be configurable by the admin.
Showing this info to the admin on the management screen would be a bit tricky, because of the sheer volume of information that needs to be displayed.

TotalMeltdown commentedAny word on this? I think "flagged" content should not necessarily indicate negative content. For example on my site, content that is of exceptional quality may be promoted by the administrators to the front page. I think "flagging" content should be simply bringing it to the attention of the site's administration/moderation staff. If this sounds like something the community would be interested in I could make the modification and submit a patch.

loze commentedis there any plans to do this for d6?

StickyTouch commentedHere's a quick addition (aka: 10 minute hack ;) - I needed this for a project this morning and time was tight. It simply allows users to leave a comment / reason for flagging (if you install this please don't forget to hit http://yourdomain.com/update.php )
kbahey - I'm sorry I didn't have time to roll a patch or anything, all changes are commented with the string "2009-05-23" if you care to grep.
Cheers,
ED

dries arnoldsStickyTouch, I tested your version and it works perfectly. Finally a reason for the flag on D6.
An improvement would be to have the reason for the flag also mentioned in the e-mail.
Thanks!
dries arnoldsAnd the reason can only contain 64 characters. Maybe a little more would be convenient.

drupalreggie commentedWould love to see this feature properly integrated. A great addition to an already immensely useful module.
