Can't access pages after localhost

Hey Guys. I'm a newbie here. Please excuse my ignorance. I somehow lost access to my site pages. I can pull up my localhost page, but when I try to get into my admin box, or access a module, the line reads:

Not Found
The requested URL /node was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) PHP/5.3.2 DAV/2 Server at localhost Port 80

I am assuming this is a apache issue, and there is some great information on this, but I can't seem to find exactly my answer. I literally went to lunch yesterday and came back to find this problem. Could it be a module I installed? I had just uploaded the imagecache module before this all went down. Could it be related to that?

This might sound silly but have you checked that your .htaccess file is in the webroot of your Drupal install? Also, remove the imagecache module in your module directory and see if the site comes back?
