Shouts per page & Shouts per block

hi there,

after updating 2.1 to 2.2 the shoutbox block showed 30 Shouts instead of 8 as set up before.
In the admin setting of the module the Shouts per block was set to 8 - the shouts per page was set to 30.
Well, i just swapped the settings and now the shouts per block is set to 30 but the block on the frontpage shows
8 Shouts (while the page with all shouts shows 30 while set to 8)

I guess the description of the block/page settings is wrong?!
or is it meant that way??
