I have a couple of questions concerning the ping.module.

1) When stories, pages and posts other than blog entries call the ping.module? Specifically, I don't want to send out pings after I've added a new event or some other inappropriate addition.

2) I've read a few posts about updates to the ping module that allow it to contact technorati.com and others. I'm not sure of the best way to update my current non-CVS install with these new features. How would I do this?

no it pings for all entries, but i am not sure what happens if you just update a story

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps I'll turn it off before adding non-blog related material.

That brings up another question. Does it ping when every user adds a blog entry or only for the administrator blog? Perhaps only entries posted to the front page?

Btw, my first question should have started out with Do and not When.
