1) 5.x is not listed on the project page. Is this simply because you don't want to support it any more, or were there security issues?

2) My customer is using 5.x-0.8. Is there any magic needed to upgrade to 5.x-1.2? (Prelude to converting to 6.x)

3) It appears that the module is used solely for Tabs. How would I find out if it is actually being used?

No known security issues, just too hard to maintain.

My recommendation is: don't install Jstools in D6 unless you find it's required by a module you need to install. (I'm convinced there are thousands of sites running it necessarily. I've tried to counter this by a prominent posting on the project page, but to little avail.)

I don't think there's a need to update (no relevant database updates).

Thanks for the advice. The site will be undergoing many changes once it gets to D6, the major one being that I want to switch to a grid theme and try to get rid of Panels, which I think is the only reason why this module is used.
