Hi,
I am simply trying to set up a block to hold the taxonomy in a tree layout with all nodes under relevant terms. Example:
-term1
--term1a
---node1
---node2
---node3
---node4
---term1aa
--term1b
-term2
--term2a
--term2b
---term2bb
----node1
----node2
----node3
----node4
is the above possible at all? I have looked into many modules and none seem to include listing nodes as well as the terms or vocabs.
any help would be much appreciated.

... you could do this with menus. This is something i did on one project - but I can only give you a strategic answer here - not a step-by-step guide.
You could create a menu and use different modules to display them in the way you want.
The menu can be feed with the vocabulary you choose and the tree would grow as the vocabulary is created - you should, though, predefine the vocabulary and not leave it to users to add - otherwise it gets too wild quickly with repetitions, etc.
Add some useful modules to handle / edit taxonomy and menus more efficiently.
The menu will be showing up under "blocks" and you add it to where you want, when you want for who you want - left, right, centre, top, bottom, etc. region.
If you have the time to add your solution step-by-step here - it would be great and helpful for others.
Thanks very much for these
Thanks very much for these suggestions.
I think the simple answer would be to make a module for this. So i think i will attempt to do so. Yes i will post it when its complete.

... well, that would be great - all the best for and great if you would offer it to the community.
There is of course the sitemap module - but I guess this is not really useful for your purpose - it has taxonomy option - but is written for another purpose.
