"has added you to his/her buddylist." added to messages the first time users log in regardless of whether someone has added them to a buddy list. Note that the message doesn't have a user prepended to it.

I can't reproduce this. Please elaborate on the problem and provide more information, such as a list of other modules you're using. Also interesting to know would be what permissions the users have, whether it afflicts all users, etc.
