Hello,

I've found myself continually installing fileframework just to make use of its ClamAV integration. I wrote a separate ClamAV integration module (just posted to GitHub http://github.com/jamesandres/clamav) and have found it quite useful.

How about joining forces, and maintaining ClamAV as a separate Drupal project? File Framework could include ClamAV as a dependency for those who need it.

Collaboration! What do you think?

PS: Likely ClamAV will need a bit of reworking to integrate nicely with the latest File Framework . Also, File Framework will need some tuning to include ClamAV as a dependency.

I very much like the idea of this! Any chance of a Drupal 7 version?

Could be done, it's a fairly simple module so a d7 port shouldn't be difficult.

Still, I would like to work with the File Framework team on this to ensure ClamAV isn't just Yet another duplicate / forked module.

Manarth and I worked together to cleanup the clamav module. It has been fairly well tested and is up on d.o as a beta release http://drupal.org/project/clamav

When I get a few minutes I will try an write an integration patch for fileframework. Currently quite busy though, no promises it will be soon :-/
