Be Honest to say,the installtion of drupal is hard than wordpress. for example, when i installed the wordpress.i didn't need to rename the configeration file and created a database. but drupal isn't flexible. if you want to install it. you must be create a database at first and rename the config file. i am looking forward that drupal can do this like wordpress in the future.

and created a database

you need to have a database created for Wordpress as well, see step 2 of the Famous 5 Minute Install.

There are a few things more that you need to know before you can setup and run Drupal, but that's all right. Drupal isn't for the common Joe like Wordpress.

and isn't there something about its config file too?

I AM SORRY,you're wrong, you don't need to have a database created for Wordpress before install it. it can do by fill out the form (DB name,DB pwd)during the installtion

The instructions for wordpress clearly say you do have to create a database for installation. See for yourself:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Step_2:_Create_the_Datab...

If you're using a one-click installer, then no, you don't-- but that's true for drupal as well.

you can do a try to install wordpress. then you will know whether i said is right.thank you. sometimes, the codex doesn't contain the whole conditions. thank you.,

don't shout at me... and no, I'm not wrong. In your Wordpress install, you provide the database name and password of an existing database, if no database exists you'd have to create one, it's as simple as that. This is exactly the same procedure in Drupal. However, there's one minor difference, Wordpress can and allows to use table prefixes during its install, which means you could use the same database for many different Wordpress installs. Doing the same is actually possible in Drupal (not during install but in its setting.php) but is not advisable for the common Joe (like you seem to be based on the level of your knowledge). The reason why this isn't advisable is, running multiple different Drupal installs on one database would be a performance nightmare on shared hosting - the environment common Joes would be using.

Conclusion, I'm sorry that you're not quite as competent as you think you are yet. You might want to spend more time reading.

I apologize for the inconvenience to you. thanks for you reply.i want to say,you can do a try to install wordpress. then you will know whether i said is right.thank you.In Wordpress install, you can provide the database name and database password of an unexisting database to install it.

Well, i just tried installing WP on my local server and its giving database connection error. I guess you are wrong here, you do need to create the DB, same as in Drupal.

as I said, I'm sorry that you made a total fool out of yourself. you showed everyone on here that you've got no clue about Wordpress. Hope you learned your lesson.

Hi, I'm using Acquia Drupal distribution and the only thing that I need to create is the DB (not the structure, only user, password and DB entry in the DBMS).

All the rest is make via 1 simple html form (5-6 textfield entry). I spent 2 minutes to install Drupal.
