Multiple editable content areas

Hi,

I know I should be able to, after reading a lot of posts 'almost' about my issue, be able to do this but i can't. Here is what I want:

I need my pages to have multiple editable regions where each sections has "edit" tab. I know I can set up my template with custom regions and insert blocks into them. However, a block does not get the "edit" tab above it. So the user has to go into administration => blocks and find the block to edit.

I have this setup now by creating a custom content type for my pages. There I have a field for each section in my page. This kind of works, as the user can click "edit" on the page and gets to a form where he can edit all sections. But this also feels wrong.

Any tips? What to read?

I wish there was a section in the forum for "How we made example.com" :)

Best,
Sammi
